SenateSHJ has run tailored capability building workshops for the past 10 years for a range of clients.

Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA). SenateSHJ partnered with the IPAA (Victoria) to run Get tothe Point writing training for senior public servants.

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). SenateSHJ designed a five step problem-solving methodology specifically for PwC. The methodology was simple and could be applied across audit and consulting engagements. A two-day training program was also designed to help embed the methodology. We have rolled out this training across PwC’s Australian offices and piloted the program in China and Hong Kong. We also train PwC consultants in structured communication and advanced business writing using SenateSHJ’s structured thinking and writing methodology.

Freehills. SenateSHJ designed and facilitated a program titled Getting to the Point, using real life examples to help lawyers synthesise their thinking and communciate clearly to clients.

Wyndham City Council. SenateSHJ designed and delivered a fully-customised writing program, designed to improve the quality of Council reports and briefings so that they better support Councillors in making strategic decisions.

Public Transport Division (PTD). SenateSHJ led tailored Writing for ImpactTM training at PTD for two years. The training was designed to build the communication capability of senior PTD staff, particularly those involved in developing policy and drafting Ministerial briefs.

Department of Building and Housing. In 2009 SenateSHJ was invited to develop and run structured problem solving and writing training for this New Zealand government department. The training was rolled out to the department’s executive and senior managers. 

Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD). SenateSHJ has run two Writing for ImpactTM workshops for a division in DEECD, designed to help staff communicate complex / technical information to a range of audiences, including Ministers and teachers.

ANZ. SenateSHJ developed and led a series of Writing for ImpactTM workshops for divisions within the bank.
