As my eighth anniversary dawned at SenateSHJ, I stopped for a moment and looked at everything I had achieved in my time here.
From office management to marketing and design, SenateSHJ have helped me carve a successful career through their valued career planning process.
I had always dreamed of taking my Fine Arts background and extending it into graphic design and marketing, I just wasn’t sure how. SenateSHJ recognised the creativity and visual perception I brought to the business and, together, we set SMART goals to help develop the skills I needed to do more creative communication. What a great match we made.
Having grown with the business, I had insight into the driving forces of the company, the value the people bring to the organisation and the brainpower and skill the team take to their clients. Now in my role as marketing officer, I’ve become a top brand ambassador for the company and have helped develop our own marketing collateral. The most exciting part of this journey is being trusted to work with valued clients in creating visual elements for their brands.
I’ve always felt honoured to work on client projects, so each time that I see a poster, booklet or social media post out in the real world, my excitement is visceral – there is always a happy dance. To be a valued part of a team that I hugely admire, and to see a design to the finish line and beyond, is the highest compliment to me.
Looking back through the years, I’m so happy to have been given the opportunity to share my passion for creative communication. With guidance through their valued career planning process, SenateSHJ have helped me define goals, take action to achieve them and have supported me at every step.
