Research, insights and intelligence

We design tailored research and intelligence to understand what people think, why they think it and what is shaping their views. We turn evidence into insight that helps organisations make better decisions, strengthen strategy and act with confidence.

Smart research, stronger strategy
There is no generic SenateSHJ research approach. We start with the decision, challenge or opportunity, then design the right combination of qualitative and quantitative research, behavioural insight, cultural intelligence, data and technology. Research can stand alone or strengthen our work across engagement, reputation, change, social change, and digital, data and insights. It can identify stakeholder needs before engagement, uncover drivers of trust and reputation, assess readiness for change, inform behaviour change, test communications and evaluate impact.

Combined with social listening, digital behaviour, UX and CX, data analytics and AI-enabled approaches, it builds a richer picture of people and the environments shaping their decisions. The result is not simply more data. It is intelligence that helps organisations know what to do next.

Understanding diverse communities
Australia cannot be understood through demographics alone. Culture, language, identity, migration experience, trust, place and lived experience shape how people engage with organisations and make decisions.

Cross-cultural research is a distinctive SenateSHJ strength. Our proprietary ACCV Panel includes more than 1,000 culturally diverse participants across Australia, supported by long-standing relationships with community organisations, peak bodies, multicultural media, advocates and community leaders. We also work with trusted First Nations research and engagement partners.

Our cross-border capability combines cultural, social and commercial intelligence with extensive Asia-Pacific experience to support market entry, reputation, social licence, stakeholder strategy and positioning.

Our Togetherness Index adds a longitudinal view, tracking social cohesion, connection, trust and belonging as Australia changes. The value of research is not the report. It is what organisations can do differently because of what they have learned.
